In the words of a visitor to The Cart Shed, this social project marries the therapeutic power of the woodland, a caring community, and the empowering act of handmaking to provide a ânatural hospitalâ for healing to transpire.
People who visit The Cart Shed (the charity in whose aid Out Of Nature is organised) are often moved by the calm peaceful atmosphere, and love sitting by the fire, and soaking in the smells (of fire and vegetable soup cooking), the sounds (birds, wind, chatter), the feelings (the warmth of the fire, the stroke of the wind)... Mona Kim is an American lady who stayed at Newport House over three weeks this summer to volunteer in the walled garden as past of the WWOOF programme (World Wide Opportunities for Organic Farming).
