The final performances of Clare Parry-Jones' performance piece Alarch took place over the weekend of 21st and 22nd October at Out Of Nature sculpture show, with participation from Hereford College of Arts students, and incorporating the beautiful boats of Helen Malia on the edge of the lake!
Alarch is inspired by ancient Swan myths, a mesolithic grave and Clare's personal experience of loss and transformation.
“I was amazed to witness how Clare created an atmosphere and set the scene without moving an eyelid. It was as if she had switched something on inside which rippled through the public, instantly creating emotion and a nearly sacred space." – Audience member
